Why we started

The veterinary community struggles with overworked, understaffed and burnt-out teams. Most practices don’t have the time, space or local talent to hire and train more employees. Chronos works with a reliable network of veterinary professionals across the country. We have the ability to hire, train and place remote employees who are hand-picked to serve your practice’s individual needs. Chronos was started “before COVID,” after its founders created solutions in their Pennsylvania practice. Within the very first week, the results were amazing:

Far less stress at the front desk and in the “back.”
More new clients (no more missed calls).

Meet the team

Jeremy Wentz

VMD, Fear Free Certified

Jeremy has been a veterinarian since 2003. He has worked in multiple emergency, specialty and general practices, some of which he has owned. He has a passion for the management side of veterinary medicine and strives to improve efficiency and workflow to better serve the patients and clients. This in turn helps improve the practice and leads to happier staff. His golden retriever Chewy lives up to his name!

Phil Zeltzman

DVM, DACVS, CVJ, Fear Free Certified

Phil is a board-certified surgeon in PA. He co-founded Chronos after realizing how much a remote team had transformed his general practice. He has owned or co-owned 7 practices over the years. He actually thinks practice management is interesting. He is a serial entrepreneur, speaker and author.

Starr Virkler

Chief Operating Officer, BFA, Fear Free Certified

Starr has been in the veterinary industry for over 10 years. She has worked with Jeremy and Phil in various capacities, including practice manager, for over 6 years. Starr is now helping re-envision the veterinary profession.

Ami Johnson

CVT, MS, Fear Free Certified

Ami, our West Coast Regional Manager, has worked in veterinary medicine for over 17 years, including research, general practice, emergency, referral practice, academia and teaching. She has a mature Aussie named Reese PC, an extremely weird Golden Retriever named Marlie, and a beautiful Himalayan named Diva. She has been with Chronos since late 2020 and loves supporting practices to care for their patients and clients.

Jessica Enderle

Office Assistant, AAS in Veterinary Technology

Jessica has been in the veterinary field since 2013 and has done it all – kennel tech, receptionist, veterinary technician and office manager. Jessica looks forward to bringing on new clinics & team members to Chronos!

Andrew Angstadt

Andy, our Client Success Specialist, has worked in client services and sales over the last 7 years. He’s helped companies build, market and sell new products and services across several industries. He has a passion for building relationships and finding creative solutions. Andy is excited to help grow our reach in supporting veterinary practices across the country!
